eco friendly products

It seems like everywhere you look now people are talking about eco friendly products. Magazines are being taken over by advertisement and this new movement. It's like it almost came out of nowhere. First it was hybrid cars, and then grocery stores were carrying more and more eco friendly products. In our local grocery store, they just built two more aisles dedicated to organic foods and more eco friendly cleaning products. The other day I was going to get new shampoo and conditioner for my hair and I saw new products that are more eco friendly. Just walking down the street you see people carrying cloth "go green" bags instead of the regular plastic or paper grocery bags. Or people wearing the "go green" t-shirts or bumper stickers on their cars. I feel like soon you will be frowned at if you are seen walking with a plastic bag.

It makes you wonder why people are starting this now. Why weren't people more eco friendly in the past? Is it just a phase? Or is this going to be a complete change and new lifestyle for everyone? What about the people who refuse to do their part? I used to think that everyone recycled, why you wouldn't, it's not hard. But sometimes on garbage day you don't see everyone with a recyclable can out next to their garbage. If we can't even get people to recycle still, and its 2008, how are we going to get them to change their everyday eating, bathing and shopping habits? And is it really worth it?

Here are a few things that are easy to change and are helpful to you personally.
