The online dating scene can be a real bear. Not necessarily so much if you are an average person who is just looking for someone special, but if you really have a lot going for you, then you will find that you will attract a ton of people who just love to look at you, especially if your picture is really hot.
I can't stand when singles put pictures out there in their personals that are blurry. I mean it is not like people can't figure it out, if you were better looking than you would use a really good picture, but if you don't want people to be able to really tell what you look like, that is the time where a really blurry picture comes in handy, don't you think.
I also can't understand the people who go onto an online matchmaking site and lie. That is just beyond idiotic. Do they not realize that upon meeting the person, you will be able to see that they lied? I really hate these people because they waste the time of real people who are looking to make real love connections. When I get online, I am always completely honest, I don't think that it serves anyone's purpose to tell people that I am tall, thin, 20 and look like a model. Those are all things that looking at me they will see are not true.
I just wish the online dating companies could find a way to weed out all the liars and weirdoes and convicts. They really need to come up with a screening process for some of these individuals. Maybe they could hire a representative for each state, who could travel around and make sure people were telling the truth, if they did that, they would truly scare the pants off some of those losers, I promise you. Maybe, instead of actually hiring someone, they should just put out a leak to the media, saying that they are going to put someone out in the field to randomly check and see if people are telling the truth, and if they are not, they will be fined $1000.00 that would show some of those creeps, don't you think?
In short, I have used online dating for the past several years, and I have really found it a rewarding experience. I have met many people, and made a few love connections. Truthfully most of us out there are telling the truth, but sometimes the few that don't just get my goat.
