promotional products

I was recently cleaning out my office desk the other day and had to tackle the painstaking task of sifting through all of my many pens to see if each deserved a place among its working pen compatriots on my desk. As I began writing swirl after swirl on a piece of scrap paper, I realized that many of these pens were simply promotional items that I had either been handed on a filthy train ride home or had kept as souvenirs from different establishments. A couple of pens proved to be representative of memories, such as the Deutsche Bank pen I had from the actual Deutsche Bank headquarters in New York. Another pen served as a reminder of one of the many contributions I had made to my job.

Our office was in a bind. We needed to increase our number of customers to replace ones that were leaving the practice. We wanted to get our name out there and give customers a lasting impression of our office (in a good way). We decided to hold a promotional day. But how would patients remember and ultimately refer us?

The theme of our promotional day was "New Patient Day", where we did nothing but new patient examinations. As coordinator of the event, I had to make sure we gave new patients an experience they weren't going to forget. I knew that the very homelike setting of the waiting room would garner some compliments, but I wanted more than just some compliments. I wanted patients to understand what they would be getting out of their experience at the office and why it is something they should want to share.

I had to hop online to find a website that would put our logo on some small gift items for free. I ran across a website called Ideas By Net, and it really interested me. I loved the wide selection of promotional products and the price range was very decent. But then I noticed something: the prices were all in UK currency! That's right: Ideas By Net is a UK based company. My feelings were rather hurt when I realized I couldn't order from this superb company, but I felt better when I saw the list of reliable websites in the US that I could refer to.

I settled on a few care package like items, like mugs and a T-shirt, and also included the very pen I was holding at that moment. The day ended up being a huge success, and my boss couldn't wait for the day to be over so that I could start planning the next promotional event. This little pen had not only earned more customer referrals for the practice but had also earned me a promotion.
