It is really hard to believe that Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away. It is a really fun time and I love to get my nieces little gifts for the holiday. I especially like it because unlike at Christmas time, you can buy nice little Valentine's Day Gifts that don't have to cost you a fortune. You get just get the cute little stuff that I love to buy. You know soft blankets and pillows and little make up stuff. One year, I got them some really cute little stuffed animals, and some chocolates and they were just thrilled.
The only people who seem to really have to spend big on Valentine's Day are the guys, especially those who are dating. They have a high mark to meet and for them St. Valentine's Day might find Cupid striking them down if they didn't really do it up. Some girls expect dozens of roses, jewelry, stuffed animals, balloons, and chocolates. I am not one of those, but some women really do expect this of their man. I just think men, if you have a woman like this, then you don't have the right kind of women. I mean there is nothing wrong with expecting a token of love from your man for Valentine's but it is over the top for you to expect him to go into hock for it. After all, it is just a retail holiday, created as a way to get us to spend more of our money in February.
Honestly, to my surprise the most expensive holiday is Christmas and then believe it or not the second most expensive holiday is actually Halloween. People spend more money on Halloween than any other holiday besides Christmas, and this is just insane. I would think that more people spend money on Valentines gifts than Halloween costumes, but then again what do I know.
Bottom line, you can show you love for that special someone by picking up some simple but lovely Valentine's Day gifts. Say I love you simply and easily. Now you can even order items online and have them delivered right to their door. Now that is definitely the way to shop.
