Switching to white tea
There is nothing like a cup of tea to soothe the soul. I think I got my love of tea from my grandmother. When I was little she used to give me a sip of her tea every now and again, and I always felt like a grown up when she did. As I got older, we would sit and drink herbal tea together in the evenings on the water where she lived. It would be a little chilly out in the evenings and we would sit out on the back deck and listen to the waves crash onto the shore in our pajamas and robes and slippers. I so loved those times alone with my grandmother, she always knew just the right things to say to me, and when to say nothing at all. Those times with her have become even more special to me, now that I live so far away. I still do visit and I always pick her up somr wholesale tea when I do. It is my special gift to her, and she loves when I bring her some new tea to try. On my last visit to her house, I brought some white tea, because I heard that it had some excellent health benefits especially to the heart and skin, so I brought her the white tea and some information about it. She was excited about it, but when the evening came, we still sat out in the chilled night air sipping on Chamomile tea, just as we had always done when I was younger.
It is really difficult to see my grandmother getting older, sometimes we don't really see age in ourselves, but I can see her aging and she is beginning to forget some of the old stories about the past, but some she still remembers like they were yesterday, you can just tell. She loves to tell stories from the old days and reminisce, and even though I have heard most of the stories more times than I can count, I sit and listen to each like it is the first time she is telling them to me. We sit and listen and enjoy each other's company sipping on tea, just as we have so many times before. Each time, it is just as special to me as when I was just a little girl.
