Research Interests
The creation, sharing, and utility of pre-20th century digital maps: similarities of information needs, information access, information seeking behaviors, and database [annotation] tools employed by historical geographers, family historians and related disciplines. Specifically issues related to building early colonial American maps depicting temporal shifts in administrative boundaries and land ownership. Areas of study focus on geographic information system technology, digital libraries, digital preservation, metadata, and access to historical resources maintained by various repositories.
