Basement interior: the steel I-beams allow us to have a big,
open space
(the beams replace support column(s) that would have been in the middle
of the room). We plan to hang a heavy bag from this thing! Also, nice
high
ceilings for those flying upside down spinning reverse kicks. |

More framing. Looking at main house from southeast. |

Looking (foreground to back) at part of living room, Mary's
studio
(left) and office (right), and master suite (back, with wall). |

More framing, start of garage roof |
 |

The covered porch is going up :)
Also, framing continues. It's looking more and more like a house! |
 |

Garage rafters, view from entrance. This is just over the
garage, and
will be a somewhat large storage area. |
 |

More roofing. Finally started working on the small turret,
and the
stairs that go in it! Can see the tower battlements coming into shape. |

Studio & living rooms, looking westwards. |

Attic above studio & living rms pictured above. Part of
this will
be floored, for additional storage space (can't have too much!). |

Above the porch. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to walk out
onto the
battlements? Not just cool, but very helpful - there is no easy access
to this space in the plans; cleanup (leaves, etc.) would be a real
pain!
Mary started talking to Art about how we can arrange for access - door
or window or something.. |

Except for the turrets, roof framing is done!. |
|

Living room fireplace - masonry (can burn wood), but will
have gas
logs. A really cool stone cover-thing is coming... Nice view, eh? That
will eventually be walled over, of course! |

In the basement: the steel beams and (steel) supporting poles
are in
- lots of open room :) |
