| Harrisonburg, Virginia | May 2002 | Visiting the Guerreros. Just a quick weekend visit. Hell of a long drive ... NOT the 3.5 hours we were promised! Had wanted to listen to the latest Jean Auel audiobook (on CD this time) on the way up, but the portable speakers we took weren't strong enough! On the way back, Tracy gave us her CD adapter thing (thanks!) so we got through (a small) part of it. Just a few pix. |

Went home for the holiday weekend. Mary stayed behind - we'll
be back later this year. My sister and family were visiting (kids'
birthdays), and we also got together several times with my brother and
his family. It was a pretty good trip - it's been many years since I've
seen my brother and his family any significant amount of time, and
maybe even longer for my sister. Barely knew all the kids' names before
this trip! Definitely good to meet them and spend some time with them,
although they are really REALLY loud. Of course, some of that is just
our family style - I'm not used to everyone talking at the same time,
loudly, any more. Add the kids' noise to the adults, and my ears were
hurting much of the time! |
