PROFESSIONAL
Dr. Sanna is a
Professor of Psychology and Director of the Social Psychology Graduate
Program
in
the Department
of Psychology at the University
of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill; he also holds a secondary
appointment as an Adjunct Professor of
Business Administration in the Marketing
Area at the Fuqua School of
Business at Duke University.
Dr. Sanna received his B.S. in Psychology at
the
University of Connecticut and his M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees in Social Psychology at the Pennsylvania
State University.
He has been a
Visiting Scholar at
the Research
Center for Group Dynamics at the Institute for
Social Research at the University of Michigan, and
in the Management
and Organizations Area at the Fuqua School of
Business at Duke University. Before
coming to UNC, Dr. Sanna previously held faculty
positions in the Department
of Psychology at Bucknell University and in the Department of Psychology at
Washington
State University.
Dr. Sanna is a member
of the American Psychological Association,
Association for
Psychological Science (Fellow), Society
of
Experimental Social Psychology (Elected Member), Society
for Judgment and Decision Making, and Society for Personality and Social
Psychology. He has also served on the editorial review boards
of the following journals: Basic and Applied Social Psychology,
Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS Associate), European
Journal of Social Psychology, Group Dynamics, Journal
of Experimental Social Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social
Psychology, Journal of Social and
Clinical Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision
Processes, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
Dr. Sanna and his laboratory
group conduct research and develop theories that are designed to help
inform and promote
better
decision
