v All About Stacy v
My name is Stacy Fox and I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I was born in Durham, North Carolina and have lived there all my life. I graduated from Riverside High School in Durham in 1999 and received a partial scholarship to play softball here at UNC. Although I only played one year, I am so glad that I made the choice to come to Carolina because I love it! I will graduate in Fall of 2002, a semester early, with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Graphic Design from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as with a minor in Art History. I absolutely love art whether it be a painting by Monet or the architecture of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. I cannot imagine being in a job where I have to sit at a desk for 8 hours straight everyday. It is not in my blood. My plan is to hopefully get a job in the marketing department of a pharmaceutical company, but I have to admit, with the way things are going with the job market right now, I will take whatever I can get. I grew up one mile away from Duke and a lot of my friends went to Duke after we graduated. I still get slack from a lot of people in Durham for going to Carolina instead of Duke. I am really into sports and I love to play tennis. My goal at the end of the summer is to go to Cincinnati for the Tennis Master's Series and see my favorite tennis player, Patrick Rafter, play in the tournament. My ultimate dream is to travel (but this takes $, which I don't have right now). There are so many places that I want to see, from Florence, Italy to St. Petersburg, Russia. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to visit some of these places. I am thinking about doing a semester abroad next summer to Australia but no definite plans yet. I spent all of my time in high school playing softball and traveling in the summer to various softball tournaments around the United States. I was voted most athletic female my senior year and I was also homecoming queen and prom queen (still not totally sure why) my senior year. Part of me misses some aspects of high school, but overall I am thrilled to be here at UNC. -Email Me at sfox@emailunc.edu-
