The Birthday Cakes
In our family we make ALL birthday cakes from scratch, and decorate them ourselves. The cakes are ALWAYS chocolate, typically with white buttercream icing. At early ages the cakes were made by Ashu and Lisa only; as the kids get older they contribute more and more to the cakes (both the actual baking and decorating).
