Bella Shelley Fullwood is a student in her junior year at UNC-Chapel Hill where she is majoring in English and Communication Studies with a concentration in Performance Studies with unofficial minors in Creative Writing and Women's Studies. She is a member of the co-ed art and literary fraternity St. Anthony Hall and the CUAB Writer's Speak committee. In addition to being a full-time student, she is the Union Lab Manager for ITS Computer Labs on campus.
Born to Cynthia Malloy Fullwood and Judge Ernest Fullwood, she was raised as a daddy's girl in Wilmington, NC. Her summers were spent between the court house, where she shadowed her father starting at the age of 3 when she sat behind the judge's stand on the floor quietly musing, and the family summer house on the sound near Topsail Beach, NC, and the swimming pool of the YWCA.
As fate would have it, she is a devote Romantic, having been named after the poet Percy B. Shelley and author Mary Shelley. Augustine is her Catholic Communion name, after the resplendent St. Augustine who so eloquently proclaimed: Dear God, please make me good, but not yet.
She aspires to be a totalitarian bitchtator and a writer. However, she would also like to teach Romantic and Victorian English, copy edit for a magazine and chase squirrels and pigeons for a living. Not to mention, she would not mind getting paid to have babies and look damn gorgeous all day, but she hasn't the figure for that. Alas...
Since she has been such a been a virtuous woman and this year for Christmas, she is asking Santa for a standard poodle (female, black) named Cadet.
