Mrs. Smith is a 35 year-old mother of two children, a 7 year-old and a 10
year-old. She is a busy mom and has a fulltime job as a teacher at
Maplewood Junior High. She knows that she is overweight, and she has been
advised to lose weight. Her current BMI is 33, and she is classified as
being obese. Mrs. Smith wants to lose weight but doesnt know where to
begin. Her diet usually consists of fried foods, fast-food, and very few
vegetables unless they are fried. She says she eats this way because it
is quick, easy and inexpensive.
You are a friend of Mrs. Smith, and she asks you for your advice on how to
eat healthier.
