I really enjoy drawing. I'm not a very accomplished artist, but I find drawing both relaxing and rewarding. I took Basic Drawing & Composition a couple of years ago, and that was the first time I ever used charcoal extensively. I had been using just pencil, and colored pencils. The use of charcoal helped me to develop my skills in chiaroscuro. I'm still not the best at creating volume, but I'm getting better. If you would like to see some of my drawings, click here.
I enjoy the works of a variety of artists. I especially like Salvador Dali.
If you want to improve your own drawing skills, I suggest visiting the Drawing/Sketching Page of the Mining Company. They offer several tutorials on subjects such as cartooning, as well as drawing in charcoal. They have some great links. If you want to look at amazingly beautiful drawings, visit some of the galleries they have listed.
