A little bit about me:

My name is Samantha Smith and I am a freshman at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill . I have recently decided to double major in Journalism with a concentration in advertising and Political Science. I live off campus in Granville Towers or as some like to call it "G-Vegas," I am in Kappa Delta Sorority, and I coach a three and four year old soccer team.. I am from Memphis , TN and have lived there my entire life with my nine brothers and sisters. I attended an all girls Catholic school in Memphis called St. Agnes Academy from kindergarten to twelfth grade (I know a little sheltered).

I am pretty much obsessed with sports, but by no fault of my own considering my sister's refused to let me play Barbie with them so I had to resort to playing with my two brothers that I am between in age. I played varsity soccer and swam for all four years of high school, and dabbled in other sports such as tennis, basketball, and lacrosse for at least one season. My favorite sport to watch is football because all of my brothers have played (one plays for UNC now), and my favorite team is the Washington Redskins.

Besides sports I love to read, watch movies, and listen to music. I love music; however, I have no musical talent of my own. I have a wide range of musical preference because country music has always been a favorite of mine, but I also like musicians like Ben Harper, Maroon Five, and Jack Johnson. For right now I am just trying to get through college with a decent grade and a lot of willpower to overcome distractions, but hopefully one day you will be reading about me in the newspaper (for something good)!
