London and the Thames

This is a beautiful picture of the Thames in London. You can also see St. Paul's Cathedral (it's the dome in the left of the picture). London is one of my favorite cities, and I really hope to live there one day!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my web site. I hope it's entertaining!! I really love to travel - I guess you could say it was my passion, so I decided to dedicate a portion of this site to the many adventures I've had. There should be lots of pictures for you to look at, plus you'll learn a little bit about me in the process!

So, let's start at the beginning. My full name is Shannon Lauren Snypp, and I'm from Atlanta, Georgia. I was born on May 24, 1980, which makes me a Gemini (I always pay special attention to signs, because I like to read my horoscope and see what the day brings). I went to the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, from the 9-12 grades, and then came to Carolina in 1998. I'm double majoring in Journalism and Political Science. While at Carolina, I've joined Phi Mu sorority, written for the Daily Tar Heel, studied in London for an Honors semester, tutored with the Durham Scholars Program and am currently serving as Assistant Student Body Secretary for student government. When I graduate (this May!), I hope to either work in government or serve as an international correspondent for a major newspaper. And of course, I want to travel - that's essential!

I wanted to leave this page with a quote that I love - I think it's very appropriate for all of the seniors who are about to graduate and move on with their lives~!

"What is that feeling when you're driving away from people and they recede on a plain till you see their specks dispersing? - it's the too huge world vaulting us, and it's good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies...."

-Jack Kerouac
