John J. Sumanth is a 3rd
year Ph.D. candidate in Organizational Behavior at the University of North
Carolina-Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to joining
Kenan-Flagler, he worked as a strategic planning and research manager and
R&D specialist at Norwegian Cruise Line and Burger King Corporation,
respectively. His research examines issues of voice, trust, ethical
behavior and status in organizations and his work has appeared in the Journal
of Applied Psychology and Handbook of Technology Management.
He is a member of the Academy of Management (Organizational Behavior &
Social Issues in Management Divisions), and the Society for Industrial and
Organizational Psychology. He has presented refereed and invited papers
at several conferences, including the annual Academy of Management meetings, INFORMS,
and the International Conference on Productivity & Quality Research (ICPQR).
Within the Academy of Management, he has served as a conference paper reviewer
for the Organizational Behavior Division and as an ad hoc reviewer for Human
Resource Management Review.
