I was a Ph.D. student in Statistics at UNC, working on my thesis titled 'High dimension, low sample size data analysis and asymptotics for variables on manifolds' under the guidance of Dr. J. S. Marron. I graduated in May 2011. Then I moved to University of Pittsburgh, Department of Statistics.
Above: updated at Sep 2011. Rest of this website is outdated. Check my new webpage at Pitt.
I am interested in the application and theoretical study of modern Statistics. Analyzing data that lie in non-standard space is of particular interest in my Ph.D. dissertation (currently working). This context includes the high dimension, low sample size situation and data that lie in a non-Euclidean space (manifold). Related statistical applications include the gene expression microarray analysis, shape analysis and image analysis. Please see the links to the left for more details regarding my detailed research, courses taught, and other aspects of my life.
