Father Ed and me on my confirmation day

Father Ed is the pastor at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hickory, N.C.
He has had a rather positive influence on my parents' faith, as well as my own.
On August 9, 2002, he confirmed me, heard my confession, and was the first to give me the Blessed Eucharist in a private Mass.
Fr. Ed had the unique opportunity of answering my poignant questions regarding my budding Catholic faith as I surrendered to greater understanding.

My friend Tony

He has extended his love to me through deep theological talks over midnight chocolate ice cream. He is currently a first year seminarian at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, M.D.
Tony, we miss you dearly.
Kathryn and me on my Confirmation day

True friendship does not come to us often. I discovered the dearest friend I have ever had in Kathryn. After a tough summer together (involving significant others), I have gained a priceless friend. Our memories of countless hours with our Rosaries, the TV and (occasional) strawberry Daiquiris will never be forgotten.

Bible with a Rosary
Since I've been a Protestant Christian for most of my life, it was strange at first to have such a physical object as Rosary beads to assist me in prayer to God. I have now developed a strong affection toward the Rosary, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a stronger relationship with God.
