I am a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
where I studied at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I decided to explore a career in news-editorial journalism after growing up in the small town of Granite Falls, N.C., which has a population of 4612 people.

My education has presented me with new challenges, new world views and numerous opportunities for personal growth.
