They were electronic pioneers of the Synth Pop and New Wave scene in the early 80's UK scene. In 1983 the band had their most successful selling album to that date, "Construction Time Again", which went Gold in the UK. They later had their first Top 20 hit in the U.S. in 1985 with "People are People". In 1989 they moved towards the growing Dance craze and brought in FRAN€OIS KERVORKIAN to mix "Personal Jesus". Their success continued to grow into the 90's. By 1997 the band released "Ultra" which proved to be another big selling hit. To this day, they remain as successful as ever after releasing "Exciter" in 2001. Depeche Mode was voted the Best Electronica artist from the 2002 in the Intuitive Music's Annual Poll. Album "Watermark" (1988) established Enya as an international star. My favorite song "Storms In Africa" is from that album.
