The archaeological remains of the temple
The temple of the Roman colony of Barcino was located
at the forum or public square where the political,
religious and administration life of the city took place. At
the forum were most of the public buildings, such as the temple, the
basilica and the Curia, where the Ordo Decurionum or
municipal senate met. The temple in Barcino was dedicated to the
worship of the emperor-gods. Only four columns remain, the architrave that
links them and part of the podium.
