My dad was very special to me, and he loved all of us very much.  He was always the loudest and funniest guy in the crowd.  But deep down he was a gentle creature.  I even remember him crying at the movies when we went to see Pinocchio.  My times with him are mere memories now.  But my memories of my father are nothing but the best.  From us singing together on the road, fishing for “mama jaws,” to taking tae kwon do or baseball, and even to his sick days.  I will remember him as a man with a mission, against the grain, trying to change his wildman ways.

Death

A numbing, bitter silence piercing the ear,

A never-ending land of peace that we hold dear.

A dreary outlook on life and how it ends,

So lifeless it seems,

So many lives it bends.

Still this endless journey never peaks,

Only the peace keeps on when heaven speaks.

Memories of a Father

As dawn awakes upon every new day,

I think of the words I wish I could say.

The pain is deep, and this heart in need,

It's missing our times, while following your lead.

I’ll miss you father with every breath,

And the memories are strong until my death.

Loneliness

Loneliness is like a book with no cover,

Never to be read because it has no name.

Loneliness is a bottomless pit,

No walls, no bottom, just you and that’s it.

Loneliness sees no other side,

For it is a lost cause that has never been tried.

Loneliness

Distance

Distance is known as a barrier

    that keeps us apart.

It teaches us to think

    and follow our heart.

But with love there is no Distance too great,

for Distance is no match for fate.

This situation brought forth many difficult obstacles for me. I know that
he is watching over my every move, so that is why I will make him proud.
Love you dad!
