April 6, 2004 Virtual Supercomputer Isn't Up to Speed - a project at San Francisco State doesn't break record as expected


Unfortunately, there is not a great deal of news this month that directly applies to individual PC computing.  However, there has been a great deal written about grid computing.  Grid computing works on the same principle as individual PC computing.  Instead of using individual computers for PC, grid computing uses many large supercomputers to compute large amounts of distributed data.
