The Map Room is home to the Holomap, which is a comprehensive and interactive map of the explored galaxy.  The Holomap receives weekly updates from sixteen sources, including the Imperial Solar Survey and the Imperial Cartographic Survey Division.  It stores information regarding production, population, and political orientation for every populated world.  The Holomap can zoom in on cartographic features, such as star systems and nebulae.  Coordinates can be toggled, and both natuarlistic and cartographic views are available.  Most recently, the Imperial Ministry of Energy has used the Holomap to help identify hydrogen sources throughout the United Imperial Worlds.
