A prominant senator from Earth who fought to pass the Engineered Life Amendment.  Benjamin was later appointed to the position of Prime Minister in the government of the Emperor, Ivan Romanov.  Following the assasination of Romanov, he was elected President pro tempore of the United Imperial Worlds and given special executive powers by the Emergency Council of Delegates.  Benjamin served in this role from 10 September 2242 until the coronation of Emperor John Paul Windsor on 1 May 2245.
