Quetzlcoatl was first explored by the Imperial Solar Survey in 2313. The planet was first colonized in 2319 by several thousand Mexicans. Following the discovery of plentiful ruins on Quetzlcoatl in 2321, the world came under intense scientific scrutiny. The ruins were eventually determined to be the work of the Ancients, and the Taurian Royal Academy of Sciences funded its own expeditions to study them. The planet has since becomes a center for lumber and fruit production, as well as a hotbed of black market activity, due to its location near the Southern Alliance. Quetzlcoatl is also now the main source of information regarding the ancient culture and maintains a research center at Nuevo Tlaxcala, which is funded by the Imperial Ministry of Culture. |
