The Union of Independent Planets, composed of Quilirivus, Eniva, and their colonies, is a corporate monarchy ruled by the Queen of Quilirivus.  The Union seems divided more or less along racial lines, as the Quilirivene appear to be the primary proponents of government and trade, while Enivan membership insures production and military capabilities.

The Queen is believed to maintain a complete rule over a Board of Directors, and has the ability to remove any Board member at will.  The Board is in turn responsible for the Four main subsidiaries of the Union, the Trade Authority, Production Board, Financial Board, and Military forces.  The Trade Authority maintains shipments of goods, products, and currency to buyers and introduced the Union to new markets.  The Production Board is responsible, through its Industrial Counsel, for the maintenance and administration of Union factories and shipyards.  The Finance Board provides currency and monetary means for projects and functions of the Union, as well as administering the Union Bank.  Finally, the military is responsible for the defense of the Union and enforcing the will of its Queen.

Union traders are reputed to be largely unscrupulous, and appear to maintain a Mafia-style guild organization within the Union that is the only true balance to the Queen’s authority.  They should be considered untrustworthy and sometimes, dangerous.
