Ecology:  Vaatrel is believed to have a mixed nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere, and is thought to be very much like Earth.  It is believed to be rural and mostly undeveloped, as well as the main exporter of grains within the Southern Alliance. 

People:  The Vaatrel race calls Vaatrel its home.  The Vaatrel are oxygen-breathing humanoids and are herbivores.  A typical Vaatrel stands roughly 2.2m high and can lift 40kg.  The race is recognizable by its lack of hair and pale gray skin.

Civilization:  The Vaatrel are ruled by a class of priests, known as the elders, who survive off the hospitality of their followers.  Vaatrel religion holds that the civilizing god Vaatrus, from whom the planet takes its name, will someday return and reveal his remaining secrets to the faithful.  The planet is almost certainly not a full supporter of Southern Alliance policy as ruled by Gatraxia and is believed to be the leader of a coalition opposing Gatraxian hegemony.
