PHILOSOPHY: Has no political agenda and recognizes no political boundaries.

| Philosophy is
timeless and eternal, not fleeting like the love which once sustained
us
but has since evaporated, leaving us curled, naked and weeping, in a
fetal
position on the corner of our unmade beds. In the face of philosophy's
sublime beauty it is all too easy to feel like a match
struck in a stiff breeze, extinguished almost immediately, or,
alternatively,
like the deck of cards used in some speed game, shuffled and grabbed
and
slapped and abused.
You might at first have recoiled from philosophy, focusing your attention instead on temporal things like the consumption of alcoholic beverages or the acquisition of electronic devices. But philosophy will not be so easily abandoned. It will always draw you back by caressing the small of your back or whispering soothing words in your ear. But if you remember nothing else, remember this: philosophy makes no compromises. It will not tolerate ambiguity, imprecision or half-assed work. No! On the contrary, it demands your whole ass at all times. Do not be deceived by the caresses or soothing words. |
