after a wedding like that, where do you go? well, tess didn't know. tom planned the whole thing and refused to divulge any information about where they would be going. so imagine tess's surprise. . . there they were, driving along in western pennsylvania, near nowhere in particular (as far as tess knew), when, in the midst of a violent thunderstorm, they pulled into the parking lot of the building below:
which, again, to tess's surprise, turned out to be "tara, a country inn," in which tess and tom had a room that looked like the below:
well, that was the first night. tom wanted to make completely sure that tess didn't know the next location, so she was blindfolded on the way to. . . erie, pennsylvania. why there? tom and tess first met there, at the pa governor's school for the arts. they got to look around their old stomping grounds, and talk things over with their old teacher, doug woods.
from there, tess was allowed to know what was ahead. she was pretty pleased to know that they were headed to:
why, niagara falls, of course--the canadian side. they experienced the major attractions, including the maid of the mist and the tunnels below the falls:
continuing northward, they headed to. . .
toronto!
while there, they saw all kinds of things, including the market/concert seen below:
and they ate in the restaurant at the top of the cn tower,

one day they took a ferry to one of the islands near toronto, where they saw shakespeare in the park and took a ride on a bicycle built for two:
soon enough, the honeymoon--well, the trip, at least--was over, and it was time to make the arduous journey to north carolina. note the highly attractive moving van below:
and, once in north carolina, tess was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of owning a little grey kitten. well, sort of. how about a white almost-kitten named stanley?
aw, he's so cute, who cares that only the top of his head is grey. . .
