About Me
Hello, my name is Tommy Mann, and I'd like to personally
thank you for visiting my website. I've been designing websites
since my freshman year in high school. That doesn't mean all
that much since so much has changed since then. I do my best
to keep up with the trends though. For instance, I'm currently
teaching myself PHP and mySQL. Who knows what will be next?
My career interest, though, is technology consulting. Through
my business and information systems background, I'm developing
the skills necessary to help businesses and people become
more efficient in what they do, maybe through the use of information
technology.
I'm currently a student at The
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm studying
at the Kenan-Flagler
Business School and the School
of Information and Library Science.
Welcome to the Southern Part of Heaven! That's right, I'm
a Carolina Tour Guide. In my spare time, I give campus to
tours to prospective students, their families, and special
guests of the University. It's fun, relaxing, and I love getting
to show this place off! If you've never been to Chapel Hill,
NC, you're definitely missing out!
On the technology end of things, I'm the Chair of Information
Technology for the executive
branch of student government and I'm the Personnel Chair
for Carolina Web Servers.

My favorite band is the Dave
Matthews Band. I've seen then live many times, and I have
a decent size collection of their live music (from when I
used to have time to trade - visit etree.org
if you're interested). I also love Phish, Pink Floyd, Chili Peppers, Agents of Good Roots, and many many
more. Aside from that, I
enjoy practically
all types of music. Music is one of the greatest ways to just
sit back and relax. I don't play an instruments proficiently,
although I do know a little - very little - piano,
trumpet, and guitar.
I enjoy movies; although, I don't get to them all that often.
Gladiator, The Matrix, Braveheart, Office Space, and so many
others are great films!
