Howdy from a Houstonian! 

My name is Tally. I am a junior journalism major at the University of North Carolina. I am from Texas, the land of oil, cattle and rodeos. If you have ever met a Texan, you know how proud we are to be from the Lone Star state. It is almost sickening. 

I am 20 years old. I love movies, books, history, fresh air and singing very loudly in public places. 

My favorite kinds of movies are classics.  The best being "Gone With the Wind," "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" (or anything with Gene Kelly) and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington."  I love musicals of all kinds.

Another thing I enjoy is reading.  My favorite authors are Jane Austen, John Grisham, Pat Conroy, Mary Higgins Clark, and Gloria Steinem (you have to love girl power).

 I love music, but only if I can sing or dance along (there is very little use in just listening stoically).  Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Glenn Miller, Madonna, and anything Motown are generally what I listen to, but I will listen to anything once.  I have been known to own compact disks from a variety of disciplines from, country to rap.

Finally, I love sports.  I enjoy playing, but have very little coordination, so I am usually relegated to spectator, but I like that too.  My favorites (in order of importance) are:  Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Gymnastics, Ice Skating, Swimming/Diving and Track.

Above all-- I love people.  Talking, singing, hugging, dancing, playing and loving.  People are wonderful.  My only fear is that one day there may not be new people for me to meet.
