Concentrations of various purines and pyrimidines are from the literature, and predominantly from mammalian cells or tissues. Note the variability in reported values, since the SD is generally comparable to the average concentration itself. Some of this variation may reflect the actual methodology used to isolate compounds, or differences due to age of animals.
