TO THE EDITOR:

Are you interested in volunteering your time and expertise to a nonprofit, service organization in your community? Cornucopia House Cancer Support Center of Chapel Hill is in need of volunteers to continue providing its services to cancer patients and their families in the Triangle.

Volunteers are needed to assist the four-person staff with planning and overseeing special events such as the organization’s annual fundraiser A Chocolate Affair, completing administrative tasks, becoming a program volunteer or assisting in specific areas such as public relations.

Cornucopia House was founded to provide education, support and companionship to cancer patients, their families and their friends. The organization also offers free, complementary therapies to its clients, including massage therapy, expressive arts and restorative yoga classes.

If you are interested in volunteering with Cornucopia House, please contact Volunteer Coordinators Marcia Friedman or Linda Ellis at (919) 401-9333. For more information about Cornucopia House, please visit the Web site at www.cornucopiahouse.org.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Little, Volunteer
