COMING FROM THE WEST (GREENSBORO, ELON, CHARLOTTE, WINSTON-SALEM, BOONE, ETC.):
TRAVEL TO GREENSBORO, GET ON I 40 EAST, AND FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS.
Directions from Greensboro: Take I40-I85 going east toward Raleigh & Durham. For most of the trip, you will be on I 40. AFTER BURLINGTON, WHEN I 40 AND I 85 SPLIT, DO NOT TAKE I 85; STAY TO THE RIGHT AND TAKE I 40 ALTHOUGH THE SIGN SAYS IT GOES TO RALEIGH (I 40 ALSO GOES TO DURHAM). Ê Continuing on I 40, watch for exit signs. Ê Take Exit 270 to the right and come to a light. Ê At the light, turn LEFT onto 15-501 which is also called Chapel Hill Blvd. Ê Go several miles on this road andÊstay in the right lane. Ê LOOK FOR SIGNS TO MARTIN LUTHER KING PARKWAY on the right; be careful, it's easy to miss because 15-501 has several exits at this point. ÊÊTake MLK Parkway.ÊÊ Go to the second light, passing a shopping area and a movie theatre. Ê Turn right at the second light onto SHANNON ROAD. Ê Go a short distance, see the "Appliance Center" sign on the right, and just after that, Barriskill Dance School on the right--it's just before the post office--there is parking in front.Ê

COMING FROM THE EAST (RALEIGH):
Directions from Raleigh: Take I40 going west toward Durham. On I 40, watch for exit signs. Ê Take Exit 278 to the right and come to a T-intersection with NC 55. Turn left on NC 55. Stay on NC 55 for perhaps a mile and look for Martin Luther King Parkway exiting to the left. Take MLK Parkway to the left. Stay on MLK for a number of miles. Eventually, cross Hope Valley Road, then cross Old Chapel Hill Road. After that, the next major intersection, with a stoplight, is with Shannon Road. Turn left there onto Shannon Road and go slow. Go a short distance, pass "Appliance Center" on the right, and immediately after that, you will see the Barriskill School on the right--it's just before the post office--there is parking in front.Ê
