Remember that the “grade” appearing on your first version is not a grade, but only a guaranteed minimum.  We expect you to receive a higher grade on the final version.  However, the higher grade is not automatic; it depends on genuine improvement in the second round.  Take careful account of your section instructor’s comments and do the work of revising.

    Format options:

        1)  You may entirely rewrite the paper and hand in a new version  of it.  Or:

        2)  If your revisions are local and specific, you may just write  up one or more substitute or additional paragraphs and indicate where  they’re to be inserted.  Or:

        3)  If it’s more convenient, you may just write a letter to your section  instructor, continuing the conversation.

The choice of format is yours.  However, if your Guaranteed Minimum is  less than B, we strongly advise option 1.

In any case, your revision/response should add no more (net) than a page or two (300-500 words) to the length of your original.

Important:  Remember to turn in your first version, the copy with your  instructor’s comments, along with your rewrite.  Failure to do that is failure to complete the assignment.

As always, if you have questions, ask them sooner rather than later.
