Alan Cross, M.D.

Dr. Alan Cross is Professor of Social Medicine and Pediatrics in the School of Medicine and Director of the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Dr. Cross has served as the prinicipal investigator for a community-based home visiting program for low-income pregnant women and young mothers. He has recently completed an evaluation of North Carolina's Maternal Outreach Worker Program, a lay-health advisor program that uses home visitation to deliver services.
