1. To develop familiarity with the major cases, statutes and concepts in each of the 5 areas.

2. To identify recurring legal issues.

3. To develop analytical and communications skills to facilitate the effective handling of intellectual property matters.

4. To relate traditional legal theories in contract, tort, property, remedies and criminal law to these highly speciallized areas.
