Jason Vogler joined the UNC faculty in July 2007 as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He also holds an appointment and spends most of his time as a Staff Psychologist on the Rehab Unit at John Umstead Hospital in Butner, NC. Dr. Vogler's work focuses on the treatment of schizophrenia and serious mental illness (SMI).

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Vogler's research interests include comprehensive biopsychosocial rehabilitation and clinical psychopharmacology. His research has examined the psychological implications of psychopharmacology and prescriber decision-making. His interests also include the interaction of psychotherapies and psychopharmacology, prescriptive practice, patient adherence with psychotropic medications, and the ways in which psychotropic medications impact treatment outcome. He also has research interests in specialized affirmative psychotherapy with LGBT populations.
CLINICAL INTERESTS AND TRAINING
Dr. Vogler is trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Broadly, his clinical training includes the treatment of adults diagnosed with serious mental illness, treatment of personality disorders,
clinical management of suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, and clinical risk
