An introduction to the organization of library materials that covers formal systems for description, access, and subject cataloging including AACR2, MARC, Dewey Decimal classification, Library of Congress Classification, and subject headings.
An introductory course to identification, provision, and evaluation of resources to meet primary needs of clientele in different institutional environments. Basically, it is a course focused on collections building in a academic library.
