I figured I should know what my licence plate was. Looks like Toyama 500, nu 92-07. This is the typical arrangement, I think you cannot buy a car unless you have evidence of a permanent residence - in this case toyama.

The drier is on top, and the whole assembly as a little shorter than me (if i recall) and about as wide.

At every one of the hotels i stayed at in japan they provided a tea set and tea much like this one, nightly.

Typical of ryokan, traditional japanese style lodging, a futon on the floor, which usually is made out of pillows and bed rolls from one of the closets, tatami floors, a small tv and fridge.

This sign was part of many places in the Imperial Palace. I thought it was pretty cute that it was written in japanese - most of the japanese people had no trouble passing under this door frame, I was a different story.
