City: Mozumi/Toyama Thats right, the wheel really was on the right of the car, and the stickshift functioned in exactly the same way. Even the footpedals were arranged in the usual, clutch, brake, gas. You can almost see however, on the wheel the blinker and the wipers have been switched relative to left handed vehicles.

City: Mozumi/Toyama Unfortunately I was waved onward by the workers (and by a honk from behind) so this photo is a little blurred with motion - abunai! Anyway, not a *terrible* shot of a rice stepped mountainside and the yellow flag meaning yield litterally slowly-go.

City: Mozumi/Toyama And by busy, I really just mean visual chaos. Truthfully this is a rather Pale example, but its fairly striking since it was taken in the tiny town of osawano.

Road To Hwy 41	[ index| x001000 , 150910 ]
City: Mozumi/Toyama Three years ago I walked this road from the apartment complex to the grocery store every evening to buy the reduced price sushi and sashimi. Its neat beacause in osawano at least one can feel the urban density fall off with distance from the 41.
