History and Archaeology of Roman Palestine

    This course was first taught as an adult education class at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Raleigh, NC, in April and May of 2006. Because the class was only five lectures, it was meant as a very broad overview of the topic. The lectures were entitled as follows:

• "Exploring the World of Jesus"
• "History of Greco-Roman Palestine"
• "Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Jerusalem Temple"
• "The Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran"
• "Death and Burial in Roman Palestine"
