‘A chorus of gratitude’

Members of the Carolina community share their thanks with Chancellor Carol L. Folt for her service to the University.

For nearly six years, Chancellor Carol L. Folt served as Carolina’s 11th chancellor. As she prepares to step down from the job this week, members of the Carolina community came together to thank her for her service to the University.

“From the very beginning, what I noticed and admired about Carol is that she has more energy and optimism than anybody in Chapel Hill,” said Felicia Washington, vice chancellor for workforce strategy, equity and engagement.

Stephen Farmer, vice provost for enrollment and undergraduate admissions said: “I’m grateful to Chancellor Folt for so many things, but I’m most grateful to her for being a champion for students and a champion for excellence and affordability and opportunity here at UNC-Chapel Hill.”

Watch as faculty, students, administrators and staff offer their best wishes to Folt.
