After she graduates from Carolina, sociology and psychology major Tori Bobrowski hopes to earn a master’s degree in social work. But the senior has already started serving and supporting community members in need.

For the past year, Bobrowski has been volunteering with Eye Ears Nose and Paws, a Chapel Hill-based nonprofit that trains and places mobility assistance and medical alert dogs. The Tar Heel has played a hands-on role in preparing the young dogs for their crucial jobs.

“This is literally my life,” she said. “Dogs cuddle with you and they can do things and they’re smart and they’re trained and they’re big. My plan is to get my master’s in social work, and I would love to find a way to loop some of this in.”
