October Wiki* Monthly Art Edit (Virtual)

This month’s event is open to the public. See Zoom information below.
(Other Wiki* Montly Art Edits are limited to those who have a UNC Zoom account.)

This month we will explore the arts in North Carolina, and will work on improving Wikipedia articles about artists and arts organizations in our state.

Guest presenter Lisa Gregory from the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center will walk us through a list of online arts resources for North Carolina. We will also have a brief How-to-Edit Wikipedia demonstration. The rest of the session will be open workshop time for editing and asking questions.

We will provide a list of suggested artists and organizations for participants to work on if they choose, or feel free to bring your own ideas for North Carolina arts-related articles to edit!

No experience is necessary and all are welcome, however it would be helpful if you sign up for a free Wikipedia account ahead of time if you don’t already have one. Training, suggestions, and resources for getting started are provided for beginners.

Session Details:

2 – 2:30 p.m.: Online Resources for North Carolina Arts and Artists, and How-to-Edit demo
