Book Discussion: “Sexual Citizens: A Landmark Study of Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus”

Authors Jennifer S. Hirsch and Shamus Khan are coming to campus to discuss their newly released book, Sexual Citizens: A Landmark Study of Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus.Book sales and signing will follow the discussion.

This event is part of a follow up to the results of the AAU Campus Climate Survey. The book draws on testimonies of over 150 Columbia students who participated in the Sexual Health Initiative to Foster Transformation (SHIFT), making it arguably the most comprehensive study of sexual assault on campus to date. The book addresses the question of how can we make college campuses safer so that sexual assault isn’t such a prevalent danger?
