Cold War & New Cold War: Reevaluating the Global Order – from World War II to the Present

On May 4, the Krasno Global Events Series will present “Cold War & New Cold War: Reevaluating the Global Order – from World War II to the Present.”

There will be a panel discussion with four leading scholars:

  • Charles S. Maier, Leverett Saltonstall Research Professor of History at Harvard University; author of Once Within Borders: Territories of Power
  • Petra Goedde, professor of history at Temple University; editor of journal Diplomatic History; author The Politics of Peace: A Global Cold War History, Oxford 2019
  • Lorenz Luethi, McGill University, author of Cold War: Asia, the Middle East, Europe
  • Introduced and moderated by Klaus Larres, UNC-Chapel Hill Richard M. Krasno Distinguished Professor of history.
