The Intersection of Media, Politics and Public Discourse
Please join UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media for the inaugural Frank A. Daniels Jr. Lecture with Melissa Harris-Perry to be held March 21 at 7 p.m. at Alumni Hall in the George Watts Hill Alumni Center.

Harris-Perry is the host and managing editor of “The Takeaway” daily public radio program — produced by WNYC and distributed by PRX — that airs Monday through Thursday on WUNC. She is also the Maya Angelou Presidential Chair in the Department of Politics and International Affairs at Wake Forest University. From 2012-16, she hosted the television show “Melissa Harris-Perry” on weekend mornings on MSNBC and was awarded the Hillman Prize for broadcast journalism.
